
Bangladesh in South Asia lies north from the Bengal Bay and is home to amazing tropical rainforests, beautiful waterways, the worlds longest completely naturally formed beach and is famous for its many green tea gardens. Bangladesh is sectioned up into six various divisions, each one having its own gems to offer the Bangladesh Tourist.
Dhaka Division of Bangladesh
The capital city of Bangladesh is Dhaka which is growing into a modern city of late and expanding rapidly. This is the center of all Bangladesh commercial activity, but still keeps some of the traditional buildings and architecture amongst the later modern buildings.
Sylhet Valley Division
Sylhet surrounded by lush green hills and vast tea plantations is an excellent place for tourists to visit in Bangladesh. The Sylhet valley is cut out by the Surma and Kushiara rivers that flow through the hills of the valley. With much local history and a popular area with migratory birds during certain seasons Sylhet is worth a visit.
Barishal Division with Kuakata Beach
The Barishal area of Bangladesh is home to the natural sandy beaches of Kuakata, surrounded on one side with lush green rainforest and the other with bright blue clear sea.
Chittagong Sea Port Division
In the South of Bangladesh this area boasts the largest seaport in Bangladesh. Chittagong has wide sandy beaches as well as hill views and the beauty of the coastal areas.
Rajshahi Division by Padma River
Set by the Padma river Rajshahi is known for its historical monatery, Temples and museums. The Padma river flows rapidly during the monsoon season with rushing tides but shrivels down during winter by a great deal. Some of the famous sights in Rajshahi are the Monastry of Paharpur Buddists, Kantajee Temple, Ramshagar Fighi and Shopnopuri.
Khulna Division with Magrove Froest Sundarban
To Bangladesh' south west lays Khulna division with the largest mangrove forest in the world called Sundarban. The massive mangrove forest covering around six thousand square kilometers is a major tourist attraction for Bangladesh. The vast area of the Sundarban’s is covered by dense jungle and mangrove swamps. Stretching in from the coast eighty kilometers the Sundarban area is popular with nature photographers and wildflife enthusiasts. If you are lucky you may even catch a glimpse of a Bengal Tiger while visiting the forests.
